Kelly’s K9s, Tails of Courage is bringing football and a good cause together on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026, with Paws, Football & Purpose: Touchdowns for a Cause, a fundraiser at ElevenGreen, 11 Green Pond Road in Rockaway, from 1 to 3 p.m.
No advance sign-up is listed for the afternoon; Kelly’s K9s is simply inviting everyone to come out and watch the game. To plan ahead, see the event details on the Kelly’s K9s Instagram, and if you would like to support the cause now, you can donate to Kelly’s K9s online.
The afternoon is timed to Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which runs through October, and it supports the mission of Kelly’s K9s: providing professionally trained personal protection dogs to survivors of domestic violence at no cost to them. Guests can watch the New York Jets game at ElevenGreen while backing the nonprofit.
There is plenty happening beyond the game. According to the organization, the event features live protection dog demonstrations, a puppy kissing booth, raffle baskets, a 50/50 drawing, and food and drinks. The grand raffle prize is a pair of New York Jets game tickets, donated by the Jets, plus an autographed Jets helmet.
ElevenGreen is also pitching in. A portion of the restaurant’s sales during the event will be donated to Kelly’s K9s, so ordering lunch and a drink while the game is on helps fund the next dog placed with a survivor.
Kelly’s K9s, Tails of Courage is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in October 2024 by Kelly Sutliff, a domestic violence survivor who turned her own experience into a program built around safety, emotional healing and empowerment. The organization pairs trained protection dogs with survivors who are rebuilding their lives, offering both physical security and emotional support. Sutliff was named the 2025 recipient of The William J. von Liebig Prize, which recognizes leadership that bridges human and animal welfare.
“Help us give survivors something they should never have had taken from them in the first place: the right to feel safe,” the organization wrote in announcing the event.
Can’t make it on Oct. 25? You can still check out the other ways to support Kelly’s K9s and help the next survivor get a trained protection dog.
