Mine Hill’s Halloween on the Hill returns on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m., the township’s free family Halloween night put on by the volunteers of the Mine Hill Community Committee. Six days later, on Friday, October 30, from 6 to 8 p.m., the township closes out the month with Fireworks at the Beach at Mine Hill Beach.

Both dates are on the official Mine Hill Township 2026 events schedule, and the township says full details will be posted closer to each event.

Halloween on the Hill: Saturday, October 24

Halloween on the Hill runs from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 24. The township’s event listing confirms the date and time, with more specifics to come.

If last year is any guide, plan on a relaxed, small-town night out. The 2025 edition was held at Memorial Park, 12 Baker Street, and featured Halloween inflatables, a hayride, and fire pits for roasting marshmallows. Families were invited to bring a camp chair and a beverage of their choice, and hot dogs, water, popcorn and chips were sold on site. We will update this post if the 2026 lineup or location changes.

Scare Away Hunger Bags Go Out the Same Day

October 24 is also when the township hands out its Scare Away Hunger bags, a Halloween season food drive. Bags go out on the 24th and are picked up on Sunday, November 1, so residents have a week to fill them with nonperishable food. Mine Hill runs its own township food pantry if you want to see what is needed most.

Fireworks at the Beach: Friday, October 30

The night before Halloween, Mine Hill lights up the sky at the beach. Fireworks at the Beach is scheduled for Friday, October 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. It is a rare fall fireworks show in Morris County, and a nice way to kick off Halloween weekend before trick-or-treating on Saturday.

Who Runs It

Mine Hill’s town events are organized by the Mine Hill Township Community Committee, a volunteer group that works with the township’s Community Programs Department. The committee meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at Town Hall and is always looking for help. For event questions or to volunteer, contact Laurie Betz at 862-244-9251 or lbetz@minehill.com.
