The annual Randolph Freedom Festival and Parade in the heart of Randolph Township, New Jersey, has grown to bring Randolph together to celebrate our freedoms as Americans. The roots of this vibrant event trace back to 1976, when the Randolph Kiwanis Club initiated the festival as part of the United States Bicentennial celebration. The celebration includes rides, games, food trucks, vendors, a beer garden, and a Parade.
Family Friendly Event in Randolph, NJ
The Randolph Freedom Festival and Parade has been a landmark, family-friendly event for years. It is a true partnership between the Randolph Kiwanis Club, Randolph Township, and the County College of Morris. Randolph Kiwanis Club also partners with many community groups and volunteers, such as the Randolph High School Key Club and other nearby Kiwanis Clubs.
Randolph Freedom Festival Challenges & Success
Organizing such an event for three days is a big challenge, involving volunteers to ensure its success. From the parade marshals who line up entries and release them to the volunteer workers who run the games at the Freedom Festival, to the Parks & Recreation Department that helps with onsite logistics and cleanup, and to the many others who help, the Randolph Kiwanis express their sincere gratitude.
Celebrating Success with Kiwanis International
The hard work and efforts of the Randolph Kiwanis Club’s Freedom Festival and Parade were praised internationally when the club recently took 1st place in the Kiwanis International Convention in Denver, Colorado. Out of a record number of 526 contest entries from 33 countries, this year’s top-winning project was the Randolph Freedom Festival and Parade.
The award exemplifies how the festival brought together the Randolph community while rejoicing in national pride. The club also received a check for $2,000.

Highlights from Randolph Kiwanis Freedom Festival 2024
Proofreaders were influential during the massive 2024 Freedom Festival, which took place on July 11-13 at the County College of Morris. For three nights on the County College of Morris in Randolph campus, thousands of participants enjoyed snacks, amusement rides, games, a beer garden, and family entertainment. The parade on Saturday, July 13, whose Grand Marshal was Howard Gordon, set the stage for the event, and the fireworks display ended this festival brilliantly.

As they prepare for next year’s 49th Annual Randolph Freedom Festival, the Randolph Kiwanis Club members look forward to celebrating the freedom that binds the community together.
