Kelly’s K9s, Tails of Courage is opening its doors to the community on Saturday, June 6, 2026, with a free Open House at the Hanover Township Community Center in Whippany.
The event runs from 12 PM to 3 PM at 15 North Jefferson Road, Whippany, NJ 07981. Admission is free.
What to Expect at the Open House
Guests can watch live protection dog demos at 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM. The afternoon also includes free self-defense classes for women hosted and sponsored by Golden Warrior Self Defense at 1 PM and 2 PM, with sign-ups beginning at 12 PM.
Kid-friendly activities include balloon art, facepainting, and a puppy kissing booth. Kelly’s K9s merch will also be available for sale.
Supporting the Mission
The event is sponsored by the Hanover Township Mayors Wellness Campaign, and all proceeds benefit Kelly’s K9s, Tails of Courage. Please note that no outside pups are allowed.
The Open House is held in loving memory of Stella, the protection dog who started it all, January 2018 to January 2026.
Kelly’s K9s is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides trained protection dogs to survivors of domestic violence at no cost to the survivor.
