Morris County wraps up July with fireworks, free outdoor concerts, and a week of art getting underway. Here is what is worth heading out for on Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, 2026.
Boonton Township holds its Annual Fireworks Celebration on Saturday, July 25 at RVA Fields, 355 Powerville Road. The free evening begins at 6 p.m. with live music, food, and family activities, leading up to fireworks after dark. Parking is on site, and organizers note that no alcohol is permitted. Also on Saturday, the Orpheus Chamber Players perform Nocturnal Serenade on the Back Deck at the Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown, at 7:30 p.m. The woodwind program moves through works by Milhaud, Dvorak, Beethoven, Valerie Coleman, and Paquito d’Rivera. Tickets are $33 for a one-person block and $63 for a block seating up to two, and the concert moves into the Bickford Theatre if it rains. Bring your own chair.
On Sunday, July 26, Dover Art Week opens downtown from 1 to 3 p.m. at Meridia Transit Plaza, 2 West Blackwell Street, with live music kicking off a full week of free arts events running through August 1.
Sunday night offers two free concerts. The Benjamins play the Florham Park Gazebo Summer Concert Series at 7 p.m. on the Great Lawn at the borough municipal complex on Ridgedale Avenue. In Morris Plains, Delirious XM closes out the Roberts Garden series at 6 p.m. A lawn chair is all you need for either one.
