Delbarton School is hosting the 15th Annual Run to Remember Brian 5K on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Central Park of Morris County, located at 91 Central Avenue in Parsippany (GPS: Morris Plains). All proceeds benefit Blood Cancer United, formerly known as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The race honors the memory of Brian Fleury, a beloved teacher, athletic director, and head varsity baseball coach at Delbarton School in Morristown who passed away on October 19, 2007, after a 20-year battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Fleury was a Morristown High School graduate, a standout athlete drafted by the Houston Astros in 1986, and later built one of the most successful high school baseball programs in New Jersey with a 223-63 coaching record and multiple state championships. A field at Delbarton bears his name.
Race day kicks off at 8:30 AM with packet pickup, check-in, and registration. The Fun Run for kids 12 and under starts at 9:30 AM, followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 10:30 AM. A virtual run option is also available, with completion required by 12:00 PM EST on April 26.
Pricing: On-site Run/Walk is $50 (includes a t-shirt). Virtual Run/Walk is $30. The Fun Run is free for ages 12 and under. T-shirts are guaranteed for on-site participants who register by April 13. Medal winners will be recognized across multiple categories.
