Send me the list

Alstede Farms in Chester turns its fields into an after dark fall destination this season with Harvest Moon Nights, a run of Friday and Saturday evenings that opens Friday, September 25, 2026. Once the sun goes down, the family farm at 1 Alstede Farms Lane lights its bonfires and opens the corn maze after dark, with moonlit hayrides, live music, and seasonal food carrying the night from 6 to 10 p.m.

What to Expect After Dark

Harvest Moon Nights is the nighttime version of a day at Alstede. You grab a flashlight and find your way through the corn maze under the night sky, then climb aboard a tractor drawn wagon for a hayride around the farm in the dark. Between activities, you can warm up at a campfire, listen to live music, and grab a bite from the seasonal food stands. For the adults, Ironbound hard cider is on hand. It is built to be an easy family night out, and a good one for a date too.

Harvest Moon Nights 2026 Dates

The series runs on select Friday and Saturday evenings from late September through late October, each night from 6 to 10 p.m. The full 2026 schedule is:

  • Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26
  • Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3
  • Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10
  • Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17
  • Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24

Tickets and Admission

Tickets start at $19.99 for a Friday night and $22.99 for a Saturday, and they are sold online in advance through the farm. Each night has a limited number of tickets, so the popular fall weekends can sell out ahead of time. You can see every date and buy tickets on the Alstede Farms Harvest Moon Nights calendar.

Getting to Alstede Farms

Alstede Farms is at 1 Alstede Farms Lane in Chester, in the heart of western Morris County. The family farm has grown produce on more than 600 acres of preserved farmland since 1982, and parking is on site. Evenings get cold once the sun sets this time of year, so bring a jacket and closed shoes for the maze and the hayride.
