Chester Township is marking a milestone that does not come around often, and the whole community is invited to celebrate.
Chester 250, a free community event honoring the township’s 250-year journey, takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Municipal Field in Chester. The day is open to everyone, and admission is free.
A Day Built Around Community
The celebration is designed to reflect everything that makes Chester Township special. Organizers are planning a full day of community spirit, all centered on the township’s 250-year story.
Live Music All Day
Live music runs throughout the day, with the high-energy, tri-state favorite New Power Soul taking the main stage as the headliner at 5:30 PM. Additional performers are scheduled across the afternoon and evening, giving families plenty of reasons to spend the whole day at the field.
Free for Everyone, Thanks to Local Sponsors
Chester 250 is being kept free for the entire community through support from local sponsors. The current sponsor list includes the Chester Lions Club, Kessler Institute, American Fed. Mortgage, Brian and Mary Murphy, Chester Meat Market, Alstede Farms, and Hyde and Associates.
Their support makes it possible to celebrate this landmark anniversary without a ticket price, and it opens the door for families across Morris County to take part.
