A family festival with a genuinely global reach is touching down in the Kinnelon hills on Father’s Day weekend, and this year it is all about soccer.
The Kinder Joy of Moving Family Festival is set for Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake Rickabear Camp, 414 Kinnelon Rd, Kinnelon, with a rain date of July 11. The event is hosted by Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and sponsored and co-hosted by Ferrero, the company behind the Kinder brand.
A Soccer-Themed Morning on the Lake
With international soccer taking over our corner of New Jersey this summer, this year’s festival celebrates the beautiful game. The morning’s lineup includes:
- Soccer clinics and drills for beginners
- A one-mile Color Fun Run along the lake, run as a victory lap to close out the morning
- Joy of Moving Game Stations
- An arts and crafts corner with friendship bracelet making
- Power poses and writing your own game day mantra
Every participant takes home a white T-shirt, and every Girl Scout earns a fun patch and certificate.
What to Know Before You Go
The festival is open to Girl Scout Daisies through Cadettes and their families, with Pre-K little ones welcome too. This is not a drop-off event, so plan to stay and play. Families registering 5 or more tickets in one order automatically save $20.
A Program That Has Reached More Than 3.7 Million Children Worldwide
Kinder Joy of Moving is not a local pop-up. It is a Ferrero Group social responsibility initiative that has brought structured physical activity programming to more than 3.7 million children and their families across 35 countries. Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey brings that programming to Lake Rickabear, a beloved camp property nestled in the hills of Kinnelon that has served the council’s outdoor mission for generations.
Registration runs through the festival registration page, with full details on the official event page.
