Mine Hill is a township of fewer than 4,000 people, and this month it is throwing one of the bigger birthday parties in Morris County. The Mine Hill Celebrates America 250 Carnival runs four straight nights, June 18 through June 21, 2026, at Veteran and First Responders Memorial Park at 12 Baker Street, part of the township’s salute to the nation’s 250th birthday.
What to Know Before You Go
The carnival runs 4 PM to 10 PM on Thursday, June 18, Friday, June 19, and Sunday, June 21, according to the township’s event calendar. The official flyer promises rides, fair food, and drinks, all wrapped in red, white, and blue for the 1776 to 2026 milestone.
Memorial Park sits behind Town Hall on Baker Street, right next to the Mine Hill Civic Center.
Saturday Is the Big One: Mine Hill Day and Fireworks
On Saturday, June 20, the gates open an hour early at 3 PM as the carnival doubles as Mine Hill Day, the township’s annual community celebration. Saturday night also brings the fireworks show, the centerpiece of the four-night run.
If you only make it out for one night, this is the one.
One of the Busiest Weekends of the Summer
Mine Hill’s celebration lands on a stacked Morris County weekend. The Tri-County Fair returns to Rockaway June 18-21, 2026 with rides, monster trucks, and a drone light show, so fair fans can hit both in a single weekend.
