Updated September 3, 2026. Summer in Morris County fills up fast. Between county fairs, free outdoor concerts, food truck festivals, and community celebrations, there is something happening almost every weekend from June through August. Here is your guide to the best of it, with dates, locations, admission prices, and what to expect at each one.
Summer Is Winding Down. Here Is What Is Next
Most of the festivals below have already run for 2026. The fall calendar is the busy one now, and it starts on Labor Day weekend. The Boonton Fire Department Labor Day Carnival runs September 3 to 6, and the Riverdale Labor Day Street Fair lands September 7.
September fills in fast from there: the Fall Chester Craft Show September 12 and 13, Boonton Brewfest on September 19, the Germania Park Oktoberfest September 19 and 20, the Chester Lions Oktoberfest September 26 and 27, the Hanover Township Food, Wine and Brew Festival on September 26, and the Morristown Festival on the Green on September 27. One change to note: the NJ Feast of San Gennaro in Mine Hill is not happening in 2026.
October brings Bottle Hill Day in Madison on October 3, the Morristown Festival of Books October 9 and 10, and Montville Day on October 11. Around all of it, our guides to fall foliage in Morris County, pumpkin picking and corn mazes, and haunted houses cover the rest of the season.
East Hanover PBA Food Truck Festival and Fireworks
Saturday, June 6, 2026 | Lurker Park, 631 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ | $5 before 5pm, $8 after 5pm
Fifteen food trucks, beer and wine starting at 2pm, live music at 6pm, and a fireworks show at 9pm. A full summer night packed into one event.

Tri-County Fair
June 18-21, 2026 | Christ Church, 140 Green Pond Road, Rockaway, NJ | Free admission, $5 parking
The 12th annual fair returns to its 107-acre site in Rockaway with heart-pounding rides, a drone light show, monster truck rides, pony rides, and classic fair food. Randolph Freedom Festival
July 9-11, 2026 | County College of Morris, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph, NJ | $5 suggested parking donation
Food, vendors, a beer garden, live music, and a full carnival midway from 6pm to 11pm each evening. Saturday features the Kiwanis Freedom Parade at 10am and fireworks at 9:45pm. Morris County 4-H Fair 2026
July 24-26, 2026 | High View Farm, 416 Sand Shore Road, Mount Olive, NJ | Free admission, $5 parking
Three days of local youth showcasing animals, artwork, and exhibits alongside monster truck rides, hayrides, food trucks, and vendors. Chester Food Truck and Music Festival
Saturday, August 8, 2026 | Municipal Field, 134 Main Street, Chester, NJ | $5 admission, kids under 5 free
Just Jersey Fest rolls into Chester for a full day of gourmet food trucks, three live bands, a beer, sangria, and margarita garden, kids activities, vendors, and more from 11am to 7pm. Dogs are welcome, and proceeds benefit the Chester First Aid Squad and the Chester/Mendham Food Pantry. Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable canned or boxed item for the food pantry.
Morristown Jazz and Blues Festival
Saturday, August 15, 2026 | The Morristown Green, Morristown, NJ | Free
The 15th Annual Morristown Jazz and Blues Festival runs noon to 10pm on the Green. All free, rain or shine. Bring a lawn chair and something to eat since no vendors are on site, or grab food from one of the many restaurants right around the Green. One of the best free events in all of New Jersey.
Where to Eat Around the Festivals
Most of these festivals run a few hours, and the food on site is fair food. If you want a real meal before or after, the towns hosting them have plenty.
