One of Morris County’s oldest cultural celebrations is back for the fall. Germania Park will hold its annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026, at its historic grounds at 56 Conger Street in Rockaway Township. Both days bring German-American bands, authentic German food, and a full bar to a club that has been celebrating this tradition for generations.

A German-American Tradition Since 1895

Germania Park has spent more than 130 years preserving German-American heritage in Morris County. Founded in 1895, the club brings people together through German language, music, food, and customs, and its Gesangverein (German chorus) still performs both German and English selections under a professional conductor. Oktoberfest is the club’s signature fall gathering, and it is open to members, friends, and first-time visitors alike. You can read more about the park’s history on its official site.

Saturday, September 19: Two Bands and a Full Afternoon

Gates open at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, with the kitchen and bar opening at 1:00 p.m. Bud and Linda play from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., then Bavarski takes the stage from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Gates close at 10:00 p.m., so Saturday is the day to settle in for the full Oktoberfest experience.

Sunday, September 20: A Relaxed Finale

Sunday runs a shorter, more laid-back schedule. Gates, kitchen, and bar all open at 12:00 p.m., and David Betz provides the music from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. before gates close at 6:00 p.m. Full details for the second day are on the park’s Sunday event page.

What to Know Before You Go

Germania Park sits at 56 Conger Street in Rockaway Township, though the club’s mailing address is often listed as Dover. Admission is $10.00, and the park asks that guests bring no outside food or beverages since the kitchen and bar handle both days. For the full band lineup and any weather updates, the park keeps its calendar current on the Germania Park events page.
