How we compiled this
We pulled every Morris County municipality from the Census Bureau’s Vintage 2025 subcounty population file and compared each town’s July 1, 2025 estimate with its April 1, 2020 estimates base and its July 1, 2024 estimate. The Census Bureau released these estimates in May 2026, as noted in its release announcement. They are modeled estimates, not a new head count, and the bureau revises prior years each time it publishes a new vintage, so numbers can shift slightly from earlier releases.
Netcong’s gain works out to about 551 more residents, the biggest percentage jump in the county for one of its smallest boroughs. If you are new to town, our guide to things to do in Netcong is a good place to start.
