Morris Township has stepped onto the world soccer stage. The New York Red Bulls officially opened the RWJBarnabas Health Red Bulls Performance Center on April 22, 2026, unveiling what league officials are calling the most innovative soccer training complex in North America, right here in Morris County.

An 80-Acre Campus Built for Every Level of the Game

The facility sits on an 80-acre parcel in Morris Township and features eight full-size outdoor soccer fields, including five heated and irrigated natural grass pitches and one turf surface. A dedicated 350-seat match field will host Red Bull New York Academy games throughout the season.

The main building spans more than 88,000 square feet and includes:

  • Professional and Academy training gyms
  • A dining hall with a professional chef and performance nutrition programming
  • Academic classrooms for youth academy players
  • A comprehensive medical suite, innovation lab, and physiotherapy spaces
  • A First Team locker room with hot and cold plunge pools, a physical therapy treatment pool, and a sauna
  • Campus-wide high-speed Wi-Fi powering real-time player performance tracking

The complex serves as the permanent home for the Red Bulls First Team, Red Bull New York II, the Red Bull New York Academy, and all youth training programs.

A Grand Opening Worth the Hype

The April 22 ceremony drew an impressive roster of guests. Jurgen Klopp attended in his role as Red Bull Head of Global Soccer, joined by MLS Commissioner Don Garber, NYNJ Host Committee Board Chair Tammy Murphy, Morris Township Mayor Donna Guariglia, Red Bull New York President Marc de Grandpre, and RWJBarnabas Health President and CEO Mark E. Manigan. The festivities featured a signature moment: the Red Bull Air Force skydiving team dropped onto the field to deliver a ceremonial whistle.

Morris Township on the World Cup Map

The new facility carries significance well beyond the regular MLS season. The campus has been selected as the official training base for the Brazil national team ahead of and during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is being hosted across North America this summer. That designation places Morris Township at the center of one of the most anticipated sporting events in history.
