The Parsippany Police Athletic League has accepted a $20,000 donation from the Morris County Card Show, a gift the youth sports nonprofit says signals a deeper partnership with the trading card event that fills its Baldwin Road gym several weekends a year.

“This partnership is about more than a donation; it’s about investing in the future of Parsippany,” Parsippany PAL said in a statement. The league said the money will go toward strengthening its existing programs and expanding opportunities for local kids.

The Morris County Card Show has been running since 2021 and now bills itself as the largest card show in Northern New Jersey. Its events mix sports cards with trading card games, drawing collectors, hobbyists, and vendors from across the region, with more than 90 vendor tables at a typical show. The Parsippany PAL building at 33 Baldwin Road is one of two regular venues. The other is Rockaway Townsquare at 301 Mount Hope Avenue in Rockaway, where the mall show runs upward of 200 tables.

A Friday night show at the PAL gym on May 1, 2026, ran from 5 to 10 p.m. with more than 70 vendors and a meet and greet with UFC fighter Joe Pyfer. Admission was $5 per person, and kids under 10 got in free with an adult.

The next shows at the Parsippany PAL are Saturday, August 15, and Sunday, August 16, 2026, both running 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a Friday night show on August 28, 2026, from 5 to 10 p.m. The full 2026 schedule, including the Rockaway Townsquare mall dates, is posted on the show’s website. The PAL has been part of Parsippany-Troy Hills since 1965, when it started with 240 children registered across three programs. It now serves more than 4,000 children from Parsippany and the surrounding Morris County towns through basketball, cheerleading, flag football, wrestling, enrichment classes, camps, and clinics, all run in cooperation with the Youth Services Section of the Parsippany Police Department.
