Summer evenings in Denville are about to sound a lot better. The town’s free Music in the Park concert series is back at the Gardner Field bandstand, with six Tuesday nights of live music running from July 14 through August 25, 2026. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, spread out on the grass, and settle in from 7 to 9 p.m. while the kids stay busy with activities from the Denville Public Library.

What to know before you go
The concerts take place at the Gardner Field bandstand at 2 Savage Road in Denville. Admission is free, and there is no need to register. Pack a chair or a blanket, and feel free to bring the whole family, since the Denville Public Library runs children’s activities at each show. With the bandstand right on the field, it is an easy, low-key way to spend a warm summer night close to home.
Supporting the arts in Denville
Music in the Park is presented by the Denville Arts Council together with the Township of Denville. Proceeds support the council’s work bringing art and music programming to the community throughout the year.
“Music in the Park is a great way for the community to get together and enjoy some really talented performers on a nice summer evening,” said Vicki Harrison of the Denville Arts Council. “We hope everyone comes out to support the arts with family and friends.”
Free summer concerts are popping up all over the county this season. If you want to make a habit of it, check out the Roberts Garden series in Morris Plains, the Monday night concerts in Roxbury, and the Dog Days of Summer series in Long Hill Township.
