Summer nights in Morris Plains are about to get a soundtrack. The Morris Plains Recreation Commission is bringing back its annual summer concert series at Roberts Garden, with four free performances running through July 2026. Every show is open to the public, and there is no admission charge.

What to Know

All four concerts take place at Roberts Garden from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The series is sponsored by the Morris Plains Recreation Commission, and organizers are keeping it simple: bring a lawn chair, bring something to drink, bring a few friends, and settle in for live music under the summer sky.

Each date also carries a rain date the following day, so a passing storm will not wash out the night.

The 2026 Lineup

The series was set to kick off on Sunday, July 5 with Moon Dogs, but that opener was postponed after a storm moved through the area. The music continues on July 12 when London Calling, a Beatles tribute band, takes the stage, with a rain date of July 13. The popular Kootz Band performs Saturday, July 18, rain date July 19. The season wraps on Sunday, July 26 with Delirious XM, rain date July 27.

It is a full month of variety, from classic rock and Beatles songs to the party-band energy the Kootz Band is known for around Morris County.

Plan Your Night

Roberts Garden is an easy, family-friendly setting for a low-key summer evening, and the free price tag makes it simple to round up the neighbors. If you are mapping out the rest of your season, the concerts pair well with the rest of the area’s summer slate, from the free Dog Days of Summer concerts in nearby Long Hill Township to the bigger fairs and fireworks in our 2026 Morris County summer festivals guide.
