Send me the listSummer in Roxbury sounds like live music drifting across the water on a Monday night. The township’s 2026 Summer Concert Series is back at the gazebos, with six free outdoor shows running all the way through August.
Free music on Monday nights
The 2026 Summer Concert Series is a partnership between the Roxbury Public Library and the Skylands Songwriters Guild, the nonprofit that champions singer-songwriters across northwest New Jersey. Every Monday night performance starts at 6:30 p.m., and all of the concerts are free. If the weather turns, a rain date is announced.
Where to catch each show
The first half of the season plays at the Horseshoe Lake Gazebo in Succasunna. E’lissa Jones opened the series on June 15. The Loretta Hagen Band, an award-winning New Jersey singer-songwriter act, was moved to Monday, June 29, and Alex Radus and Friends bring their blend of Americana, swing, and blues on July 13.
The series then shifts to the Roxbury Library Gazebo for the rest of the summer. Shanna in a Dress plays July 27, Frank Viele brings his New England blues rock on August 10, and the duo Tiny Cities closes the season on August 17. One nice touch on August 10: the first 100 people who bring a donation for Social Services get free ice cream.
Know before you go
The concerts are free, but the library asks attendees to register online or call 973-584-2400 so staff have a safe headcount and a way to reach you if a show has to be postponed. The series is funded in part by Morris Arts through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
