Alstede Farms is capping the week with one of the prettiest evenings on its summer calendar. The Chester Township farm hosts its Sunflower Sunset Social on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5 to 9 pm at 1 Alstede Farms Lane, and no reservations or advance tickets are required.
The centerpiece is the farm’s Blooming Giants Sunflower Trail, where guests can watch the sun set over thousands of blooming sunflowers. The evening also brings live music, farm-fresh food and sweet treats for purchase, homemade ice cream with seasonal flavors like peach and peach blueberry, and locally made hard cider at the on-site Ironbound Hard Cider Garden.
Visitors can cut their own sunflowers for $2.50 per stem, payable on the way out of the pick your own area. Bring cutting shears if you have them, or rent a pair at the farm’s pick your own shed with a $20 refundable deposit. The farm recommends arriving early. The last entrance to the sunflower trail is at 8 pm, and the fields close promptly at 9 pm.
If Friday does not work, sunflowers bloom at Alstede Farms from July through October, and trail access is included with Pick Your Own admission all season.
