Dover is closing out the summer big. The Town of Dover is hosting what it is calling the largest carnival in Morris County from Wednesday, August 26 through Sunday, August 30, 2026 at Crescent Field on 2nd Street, with the midway set up at Parking Lot B.
The five-night lineup covers the full carnival checklist: kiddie rides and thrill rides for all ages, classic games of chance, food trucks on site, and carnival favorites like cotton candy, popcorn, and fresh lemonade. A live DJ keeps the music going under the lights each night. Opening night on August 26 runs from 6 to 11 PM.
Crescent Field is on 2nd Street in Dover, an easy drive from Rockaway, Wharton, Mine Hill, and Randolph, and more than 1,000 people have already marked themselves interested in the event online. The Facebook event page has the latest updates.
Admission and ride ticket details have not been posted yet, so check the Town of Dover’s pages or the Facebook event closer to the date for pricing, daily hours, and any weather updates.
The timing lands in the last stretch before school starts back up, which makes this one of the final big family nights out of the season. If summer flew by too fast, Dover is giving Morris County one more chance to end it with a bang.
