Hanover Township Recreation’s Summer Concert Series is back at Brickyard Field in Whippany, with free live music every Monday evening in July. The next show lands on Monday, July 13, when Austin City Nights brings a modern country set to the field at 7 p.m.
The series is a longtime township tradition, and every concert is free and open to the public. You just bring a lawn chair or a blanket and find a spot on the grass.
What to Know Before You Go
Concerts run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Brickyard Field at Bee Meadow Park, 111 Reynolds Avenue in Whippany. There is no admission charge and no ticket needed.
If the weather does not cooperate, the show moves indoors to Memorial Junior School at 61 Highland Avenue in Whippany. When rain is in the forecast, it is worth checking the township site before you head out.
The July Lineup
The 2026 series opened on July 6 with Mushmouth playing hits from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Three Mondays remain:
- Monday, July 13: Austin City Nights, a modern country show.
- Monday, July 20: The Nerds, a high-energy rock and roll cover band.
- Monday, July 27: The Kootz, closing out the series with an evening of feel-good favorites.
You can see the full schedule and any weather updates on the Hanover Township Summer Concert Series page.
A Night That Gives Back
At every concert, Knights of Columbus Council #6904 collects non-perishable food items for the Interfaith Food Pantry. If you have a can or two to spare, it is an easy way to help a local family while you enjoy the music.
