Morris County has more indoor play places than most parents realize, from soft play cafes for toddlers to trampoline parks, a children’s museum and a public ice rink. We checked every spot below on its own website this fall, and we update this guide as places open, close or change their hours. Bookmark it for the next snow day.
Indoor Playgrounds and Play Cafes
These are the go-to spots for babies, toddlers and younger kids, and most have a spot for parents to sit with a coffee.
Mamas Play, Succasunna (Roxbury)
Mamas Play at 15 Route 10 East is a 4,100 square foot soft play space and coffee lounge with slides, a rainbow bridge and mini trampolines, and babies are welcome. Open play runs daily from 9 AM to 5 PM and walk-ins are welcome. Kids need grip socks and adults need socks (they sell them if you forget), and everyone signs a waiver. Huckleberry Play, Morris Plains
At 2651 Route 10 East, Huckleberry Play packs a lot into one indoor playground: a zip line, climbing wall, jungle gym, ball pits, a Lego room, a dance room, dress-up and an interactive art wall, plus a cafe. Open play runs daily from 9 AM to 6 PM with no reservation needed; just sign the online waiver first. At last check, admission was $25 for one child and one adult, with $20 for each extra child. On busy bad-weather weekends there may be a two-hour limit. Open play details.
Kid & Caboodle Play, Morristown
This play cafe at 1 Evergreen Place is built around a three-story soft climbing structure, with sensory and pretend play for kids up to about age 8. Open play is Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 2 PM, and weekends are private parties only. It is shoe-free, socks are required and you book online. Book at Kid & Caboodle.
Happy Kidz Play Cafe, Randolph
A smaller, cozier option at 1171 Sussex Turnpike, open Wednesday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 1 PM and weekends from 9:30 AM to 3 PM. Sessions are 90 minutes, and reservations are recommended because walk-ins are turned away once it fills. Reserve at Happy Kidz.
Kiddie Dome, Butler
Kiddie Dome at 25 Kinnelon Rd. is an indoor playground for ages 2 to 12 with bouncy basketball courts and more ways to burn off energy, and it keeps long hours: 10 AM to 8 PM Monday through Thursday, until 9 PM on Friday, and 9 AM start times on weekends. Trampoline Parks and Adventure Parks
For older kids who need to really run it out, these are the big-energy options.
Urban Air Adventure Park, Parsippany
At 808 Route 46, Urban Air goes well beyond trampolines, with laser tag, obstacle courses, climbing walls, bumper cars and virtual reality, and height rules vary by attraction. Hours are 3 to 8 PM Monday through Thursday, 3 to 10 PM Friday, 10 AM to 11 PM Saturday and 10 AM to 9 PM Sunday. Urban Air socks and a waiver are required. Tickets and hours.
Sky Zone, Budd Lake (Mount Olive)
Sky Zone’s Mount Olive park at 61 International Dr. South has freestyle jumping, dodgeball, a foam zone, SkyJoust and a ninja course. Note that the old Sky Zone in Pine Brook is closed while it relocates, so Budd Lake is the Morris County location to use for now. Sky Zone Mt. Olive.
The Funplex, East Hanover
The Funplex at 182 Route 10 is a full family entertainment center with indoor rides, bowling, an arcade and VR, open indoors from noon to 9 PM. Rides have a 36 inch minimum height, so it works best for kids past the toddler stage. Its outdoor Splashplex waterpark is closed for the season, so plan on the indoor side. Plan a Funplex visit.
Randolph Climbing Center, Randolph
For kids who love to climb, Randolph Climbing Center at 3 Middlebury Blvd. has a bouldering area, 26 top-rope walls and 4 auto-belays, plus youth beginner classes that run in eight-week sessions. Day passes are available with an online waiver. Randolph Climbing Center.
Museums, Skating and Other Indoor Fun
Imagine That Children’s Museum, Florham Park
At 4 Vreeland Rd., Imagine That is a hands-on children’s museum and play space that is a rainy-day favorite for preschoolers and early elementary kids. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM and weekends from 10 AM to 5:30 PM, closed Mondays, and some weekday afternoons are reserved for field trips, so book through the Imagine That site.
Spark!Lab at the Morris Museum, Morristown
The Morris Museum at 6 Normandy Heights Rd. has a Smithsonian-designed Spark!Lab maker space for ages 5 to 12, plus Spark!Lab Junior with trains, blocks and puzzles for kids under 5. It runs Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 4 PM and is free with museum admission, using timed 30-minute tickets from the front desk. Spark!Lab details. Public Skating at Mennen Arena, Morris Township

Tips Before You Go
- Sign waivers online the night before. Almost every play place and trampoline park requires one.
- Pack grip socks. Most soft play and trampoline spots require them and charge extra if you forget.
- Go early on snow days and school holidays. The popular spots fill up by late morning and some set time limits when it gets busy.
- Check hours the day you go. Private parties and field trips can close open play on short notice.
