Mount Olive Township is closing out Halloween week with Pumpkin Spice and Everything Fright, a family night of haunted hayrides, a trick-or-treat trail and costume contests. It runs Friday, October 30, 2026, from 6 to 10 pm on the Event Field at Turkey Brook Park in Budd Lake.
The event is run by the Mount Olive Township Recreation Department, the same team behind the township’s Oktoberfest at the Park on October 10 and 11. It is billed as frightfully fun for everyone, so expect spooky, not scary.

- Time: 6 to 10 pm
- Place: Turkey Brook Park Event Field, Budd Lake (Mount Olive Township)
- Cost: Free to attend and free to enter the contests; haunted hayrides are $10 per person
Haunted Hayrides
The headliner is a roughly 15 minute haunted hayride through the park. The township describes it as family friendly and spooky without being too intense, which makes it a good first hayride for younger kids who are not ready for a full haunted attraction. Rides are $10 per person.
Costume Contests for Every Age, Pets Included
Costume contests are free, with divisions for families, adults, ages 0 to 5, ages 6 to 11 and ages 12 to 17. There is also a pet costume spotlight, so the dog can dress up too. Registration is online through the link on the township’s event page, or scan the QR code on the flyer.
Trick-or-Treating, Crafts and a Fall Maze
Local vendors will line a trick-or-treat trail, so bring a bag. There will also be creepy-cool crafts, a fall maze, food trucks and DJ Nicole spinning spooky music all night.
For the grown-ups, Jersey Girl Brewing of Hackettstown will be on site pouring craft beer for guests 21 and over.

Come in costume, bring cash or a card for hayride tickets and food trucks, and dress for a cool late October night outside.
