Oscar winner Michael Douglas is coming to the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. for The Drew Forum presents: Michael Douglas, an evening of conversation moderated by Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz. Tickets run $45 to $101 through MPAC.
What the Evening Is
This is a live conversation, not a screening. Douglas sits down with Mankiewicz to talk through a career that spans more than five decades, from producing One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (which won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture) to his Best Actor Oscar as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street.
MPAC says the talk blends stories from his films with insight into acting and producing, along with his battle with stage IV cancer, reconnecting with his Jewish identity, and growing up in his father Kirk Douglas’s Hollywood shadow. Expect plenty about Fatal Attraction, Romancing the Stone, Basic Instinct, Traffic, his Emmy-winning turn as Liberace in Behind the Candelabra, Netflix’s The Kominsky Method, and playing Hank Pym in Marvel’s Ant-Man films. He also wrote a memoir, One Helluva Ride.
Who Is Moderating
Ben Mankiewicz has been a primetime host on Turner Classic Movies since 2003 and has led long-form interviews with more than 200 Hollywood names, Douglas among them. If you have watched his TCM conversations, you know the format: long, relaxed, and full of behind-the-scenes stories.

Making a Night of It in Morristown
MPAC sits a short walk from the Morristown Green, South Street, and Speedwell Avenue, so dinner before a 7:30 curtain is easy. A Monday night also means shorter waits at most downtown restaurants than you would find on a weekend. Give yourself extra time to park, since downtown decks and metered spots fill up on show nights.
If this one sells out, MPAC has a full fall lineup. We are also covering Dog Man creator Dav Pilkey’s December 1 stop at MPAC, and our guide to the best theaters in Morris County covers every stage worth knowing, from the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey to community playhouses.
