Pediatric Dental Associates of Randolph is bringing back Mission Gratitude, its free touch-a-truck morning for families, on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The 11th annual event fills the parking lot of the practice’s office at 390 Route 10 West in Randolph, and it runs rain or shine.
Mission Gratitude is a thank you to the people who keep Morris County safe. The morning honors first responders of every kind, including police, fire, EMS and the military, along with service dogs and the organizations that train them. For kids, it is a chance to see the vehicles those heroes drive every day, up close and in person.
The lineup includes fire trucks, police cars, rescue vehicles and military trucks, all parked so little ones can climb aboard and explore. The Morris County Sheriff’s Department will put on a live K-9 demonstration, and families can meet puppies that are being raised for The Seeing Eye.
There is plenty more to keep kids busy between trucks, with face painting, balloon twisting, food and music throughout the morning. Parents can also have free child ID cards made on site. According to the event’s listing, there will be free bagels and apples from Riamede Farm, and parking is free.

Mission Gratitude is one of several community events the practice hosts each year, alongside its annual Ice Cream Social. Because it is outdoors, free and wraps up by noon, it makes an easy Sunday morning outing for families with toddlers and young kids, with the rest of the day still wide open.
