Paul Anka, the voice behind “Diana,” “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” and “Lonely Boy,” and the writer of “My Way,” is coming to Morristown. He plays the Mayo Performing Arts Center, 100 South Street, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 7:30 PM.

Anka has sold more than 100 million albums, and MPAC notes he is the only artist in history to have a song on the Billboard charts during seven consecutive decades. With the show just one week away, this is one to lock in now.

From Ottawa to the Top of the Charts

Anka was born July 30, 1941, in Ottawa, Canada. He had his own vocal group by 13, and by 15 he had his first No. 1 hit with “Diana,” a song he wrote himself. He soon toured with Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis, and became the youngest entertainer ever to perform at the Copacabana.

As a songwriter, his reach is just as big. He wrote “My Way” for Frank Sinatra, Buddy Holly’s “It Doesn’t Matter Anymore” and the theme for The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. You can learn more on his official website.

What to Expect From the Show

MPAC promises the classics, including “Put Your Head on My Shoulder,” “Diana,” “My Way,” “Puppy Love” and “Lonely Boy,” delivered by a performer it calls a consummate showman. With no intermission listed, plan to settle in for one straight run of hits.

Make a Night of It in Downtown Morristown

MPAC sits on South Street, a short walk from the Morristown Green, so a 7:30 PM curtain leaves time for an early dinner. Our guide to the best restaurants in Morristown has spots within walking distance of the theater. Weeknight shows still draw a crowd downtown, so book a table and leave a little extra time to park.

More Big Names at MPAC This November

Anka kicks off a packed month at the theater. Art Garfunkel plays on Friday, November 6, The Righteous Brothers bring their farewell tour on Sunday, November 8, and Rocky in Concert comes on Tuesday, November 10. Later in the month, look for 10,000 Maniacs on November 19 and Three Dog Night on November 20.
