Rocky in Concert comes to the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 7 PM. The 1976 film plays on a giant screen above the stage while a live symphony orchestra and piano perform Bill Conti’s full score, all as part of a national tour celebrating the movie’s 50th anniversary.
What Rocky in Concert Is
This is a film-with-orchestra night. You watch the original Rocky, start to finish, while the orchestra plays the soundtrack live in sync with the picture. That means “Gonna Fly Now” and the steps run, the training montage, and the final bell all hit with a full string, brass and percussion section in the room instead of coming through speakers.
The original Rocky won Best Picture, and the franchise built around Sylvester Stallone’s underdog boxer, Creed films included, has earned more than $1.3 billion worldwide, according to MPAC’s event page. The film is rated PG, so it works for older kids who have never seen it and for the parents who have seen it twenty times.

More Than a Movie Night
The tour brings extras to the lobby: displays of rare Rocky memorabilia, selfie stations and Rocky in Concert merchandise you can only get at the show. Plan to arrive early enough to walk through the displays before the lights go down.
Tips for the Night
It is a Tuesday show, so give yourself extra time for weeknight traffic and downtown parking. MPAC sits on South Street a short walk from the Morristown Green, which puts plenty of downtown restaurants within a few blocks for dinner before the show. Buying tickets through MPAC’s own site is the safest way to avoid resale markups.
