Looking for something to do around Morris County this weekend? The last weekend of June brings fireworks, a carnival, free concerts, and farmers markets across the county on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Morris Plains hosts its annual Family Day and Fireworks on Saturday, June 27 at Morris Plains Community Park. Family Day festivities begin at 5:00 PM with food, games, and music, and fireworks light up the sky around 9:30 PM. The rain date is Sunday, June 28, and admission is free.

The Chester Firemen’s Carnival wraps up its 61st annual run on Saturday, June 27 at Chubb Park, 290 West Main Street in Chester. Gates open at 6:30 PM and the carnival runs until 10:30 PM, with rides, games, fair food, and the big 50/50 raffle drawing at 10:00 PM. Saturday is the final night, so it is the last chance to ride the Ferris wheel this year.

Music fans can catch a free show in Randolph, where Fearless: An Unofficial Taylor Tribute plays the Concert in the Park series on Saturday, June 27 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Veterans Community Park, 100 Calais Road. Bring a blanket or a chair and sing along. The rain date is Sunday, June 28.

For an evening show, the Mayo Performing Arts Center at 100 South Street in Morristown presents Three American Troubadours: Celebrating Taylor, Simon and King on Saturday, June 27 at 8:00 PM. The concert honors the music of James Taylor, Carly Simon, and Carole King. Tickets are available through the Mayo Performing Arts Center box office.

Families can also stop by Fairy Day at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum, 353 East Hanover Avenue in Morristown, on Saturday, June 27 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Kids can build whimsical fairy houses and wander the gardens during peak summer bloom.

On Sunday, June 28, wind down at one of Morris County’s farmers markets. The Morristown Farmers Market runs from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM in Parking Lot 10J at Spring and Morris Streets, and the Denville Farmers Market keeps the same hours downtown, both stocked with fresh produce, baked goods, and local vendors.
