The Morris County Historical Society is bringing back its History in Motion Car Show on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown. The free event runs from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and serves as a fundraiser for the nonprofit, which is dedicated to preserving and promoting Morris County history.
This year marks the second annual installment of the show, which features a lineup of classic cars, muscle cars, antique vehicles, hot rods, and exotic cars from all eras. Attendees can expect both foreign and domestic vehicles on display, along with live music from Denville’s Golden Gup, who performs from his custom pink 1965 Ford F-100.
This event is a fundraiser for MCHS, which is a member-supported non-profit organization, History In Motion offers attendees a chance to step back in ‘automotive time’ while supporting one of the leading history-missioned organizations in NJ. Founded in 1945, MCHS has been located at Acorn Hall since 1971. With the mission of preserving and promoting Morris County history, MCHS stewards a collection of over 27,000 objects, including the Acorn Hall property, and is unsupported by any unit of government or foundation, except through competitive granting process.
Come and support one of NJ’s few independent history organizations.
