Memorial Day Weekend brings parades, ceremonies, and community remembrances to towns across Morris County from Saturday, May 23 through Monday, May 25, 2026. Here is where to be if you want to honor those who served close to home.

Wednesday, May 20, 2026

The official countywide observance happens midweek. The Morris County Board of County Commissioners hosts the 2026 Memorial Day Observance at noon at the Records and Administration Building, 10 Court Street, Morristown. The ceremony includes the presentation of Distinguished Military Service Medals to local veterans and will be livestreamed on the Morris County Government Facebook page.

Saturday, May 23, 2026

Morris Plains: Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade at 9 a.m. at Roberts Garden.

Mount Arlington: Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade at 10 a.m. at Borough Hall.

Washington Township: Memorial Day Ceremony at 12 p.m. at the Rock Spring Park Memorial Site in Long Valley.

Monday, May 25, 2026

Boonton: Memorial Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on the Town Hall lawn.

Dover: Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m. from Rutan Drive to Hurd Park, with a ceremony at 11 a.m.

Jefferson Township: Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade beginning at 11 a.m. at American Legion Post, followed by a shoreline parade at Lake Hopatcong.

Long Hill Township: Parade at 9:30 a.m. from Main Avenue and Mercer Street, proceeding to Central School for an observance.

Wharton: Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m. from the American Legion at 99 N. Main Street, proceeding to Memorial Park for a service.

Madison: Memorial Day Parade and ceremony at 8:15 a.m. at Lower James Park.

Montville Township: Memorial Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Community Park Tank Monument.

Morristown and Morris Township: Wreath laying ceremony at 7:30 a.m. at the Morris Township Municipal Building, 50 Woodland Avenue. A 10 a.m. ceremony will be held at the same building, immediately followed by a parade to the Morristown Green for a final ceremony at 11 a.m.

Randolph: VFW Post 7333 Memorial Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. at 103 Carrell Road.

Roxbury: Parade steps off at 10 a.m. from 25 Meeker Street in Succasunna. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the War Memorial on the island at Horseshoe Lake.

Rockaway Township: Memorial Day Parade at 9 a.m. at Peterson Field.
