The Mountain Lakes Turkey Trot is set to return on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27, bringing families, runners, and local residents together for one of the area’s favorite holiday traditions. Hosted by the Lakeland Hills Family YMCA, the annual 5K offers a fun and festive start to the holiday with a USATF-certified course, great amenities, and activities for all ages.

Register here to secure your spot.

The race begins at 9:00 AM at Wildwood Elementary School, 51 Glen Road, Mountain Lakes, with check-in and registration opening at 7:30 AM. Participants are encouraged to register by November 7 to guarantee this year’s upgraded race shirt. Ages two and under participate for free and walkers and strollers are welcome.

Packet pickup is strongly encouraged the day before the event to avoid wait times. Runners with last names A through J can pick up packets on Tuesday, November 25 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Lakeland Hills Family YMCA. Last names K through Z can pick up on Wednesday, November 26 during the same hours. Packet pickup will also be available at the start location on race morning for anyone unable to attend in advance.

Registration is 35 dollars through November 19 and increases to 40 dollars starting November 21 and on Thanksgiving Day. Participants will enjoy DJ entertainment, coffee, hot chocolate, snacks, and a lively community atmosphere. For safety reasons, dogs, bikes, scooters, and skates are not permitted.

The Mountain Lakes Turkey Trot is a USATF sanctioned event, part of the Paul Miller Grand Prix Series, and continues to be one of the region’s most anticipated Thanksgiving Day gatherings. More details and course maps can be found on the RunSignup website.
