The nonprofit, which pairs trained protection dogs with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, hosts a free open house and fundraiser at the Hanover Township Community Center, 15 North Jefferson Road in Whippany. The day includes live protection dog demonstrations at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30 p.m., free self-defense classes for women from Golden Warrior Self Defense at 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. with sign-ups starting at noon, plus food trucks, vendors, and kid-friendly activities like balloon art, face painting, and a puppy kissing booth.
