Summer nights in East Hanover come with a soundtrack, and this month the music is free. The Township of East Hanover 2026 Summer Concert Series is underway at Lurker Park, bringing live bands, food, and easy evenings under the trees to Ridgedale Avenue every Tuesday through the end of July. The highlight lands on July 21, when the concert shares the field with a classic car show.
Four Tuesdays of Free Music at Lurker Park
The series runs on consecutive Tuesday nights, with concerts starting at 7:00 PM at Lurker Park, 631 Ridgedale Avenue. Admission is free, food is available for purchase, and the township invites neighbors to bring a chair or a blanket and settle in. The 2026 lineup mixes country rock, a Taylor Swift tribute, arena rock, and a Jersey show band staple:
- Tuesday, July 7: Hazzard County (country rock)
- Tuesday, July 14: Almost Eras, The Taylor Swift Experience (Taylor Swift tribute)
- Tuesday, July 21: Midnight Rock Show (golden-age arena rock)
- Tuesday, July 28: The Infernos (billed as America’s number one show band)
Classic Cars Join the Concert on July 21
The middle Tuesday doubles as a car show. On July 21, the Township pairs the Midnight Rock Show with a classic car showcase on the Lurker Park field. The car show opens at 6:30 PM and the concert follows at 7:00 PM, so early arrivals can walk the rows of chrome and fins before the first song.
Anyone hoping to enter a vehicle is asked to arrive by 6:15 PM so cars can be registered and parked on the field in time. Trophies will be handed out based on votes, which means the crowd helps decide the winners. It is a relaxed, family-friendly way to spend a summer evening, with music, cars, and the community all in one park.
