Morris Arts and the Friends of the Morristown and Morris Township Library are teaming up for Art on the Lawn, a free outdoor evening of art and community set for Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 5 to 8 PM.
The event takes place on the grounds of the Morristown and Morris Township Library at 1 Miller Road in Morristown. Guests can stroll the lawn, discover work from local artists, and connect with neighbors in a relaxed open air setting. As the organizers put it, the night is about discovering local artists and enjoying an evening of art and community.
Morris Arts has been part of the county’s cultural scene since 1973, with a mission to engage and build community through the arts. Pairing that mission with the library’s role as a neighborhood gathering place makes Art on the Lawn a natural fit for a summer night out in Morristown.
If the weather does not cooperate, the rain date is Friday, August 14, 2026.
Whether you are an art lover, a supporter of local makers, or simply looking for something to do on a warm August evening, Art on the Lawn offers a welcoming way to spend a few hours. Mark your calendar for August 13 and head to 1 Miller Road to see what Morris County’s artists have been creating.
