Boonton is getting a new coffee shop. Forum Coffee, the family owned New Jersey cafe chain that got its start in East Hanover, is coming to 226 Myrtle Avenue in Boonton, NJ.
We stopped by the building on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The gray storefront, with a row of gooseneck lights over big black framed windows, still had a Signature Realty For Rent sign out front, and no Forum signage is up yet. An opening date has not been announced, so this one is early news. We will share the date as soon as Forum makes it official.
Forum lists 11 open cafes on its locations page, from Bloomfield and Hoboken to Livingston and Raritan, with more on the way. Two of them are already in Morris County: the original shop at 34 Ridgedale Avenue in East Hanover and a cafe at 1 Waverly Place in Madison. Boonton will be its third Morris County location.
If you have not been to one yet, the menu runs from manual pour overs and batch brew to classic espresso drinks, cold brew, teas, flavored and frozen lattes, mochas, smoothies and shakes. The company works only with certified organic green coffee, roasted for it by a partner in Pennsylvania, sources milk from a local dairy and makes its own pistachio milk in house. Its other cafes are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends at most locations. Boonton hours have not been posted yet. You can browse the drinks and order ahead at forumcoffeeco.com.
The new cafe will sit on the same street as Boonton’s newest landmark. At the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Main Street, the Welcome to Boonton mural by Kinnelon native Jenna Morello is now finished, a bright stained glass style piece on the brick wall of the Main Pharmacy building. Grab a coffee, walk down and take a photo.
