Paris Baguette, the bakery café chain known for fresh pastries, breads, cakes and coffee, is coming to the Morris Hills Shopping Center on Route 46 in Parsippany. An opening date has not been announced yet, so for now this one goes on the “coming soon” list.
It is the latest name lined up for a shopping center that is in the middle of a major renovation. Trader Joe’s is expected there too (our team covered that news here), and earlier this week we reported that Broadway Chicken is coming to Morris Hills as well.
What Paris Baguette Serves
Every Paris Baguette bakes its products fresh in store each day. Most cafés are self-serve: you grab a tray and tongs and pick from a case of more than 70 breads and pastries, from croissants and danishes to soft milk bread and filled buns.
A separate counter handles whole cakes, cake slices and drinks, including Lavazza espresso and cold brew. The menu also covers salads, wraps and sandwiches on baguettes, brioche buns or croissants, plus seasonal specials.
There is a Parsippany connection on the menu already. Paris Baguette partners with Ferrero North America, which is based in Parsippany and makes Nutella, and the spread shows up in several of the chain’s items.
Why Parsippany Is Excited
“The renovation of the Morris Hills Shopping Center is exactly the kind of investment Parsippany needs,” said Frank Cahill, chairman of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Economic Development Advisory Committee. “Bringing in names like Trader Joe’s and Paris Baguette gives residents more reasons to shop close to home, creates local jobs, and breathes new life into one of the most heavily traveled corridors in town.”
Paris Baguette was founded in Seoul, South Korea, and now has more than 4,000 locations worldwide. Its North American headquarters is in Moonachie, and the company is aiming for 1,000 cafés in the United States by the end of the decade.
Paris Baguette Locations in Morris County Right Now
Can’t wait? Morris County already has two cafés:
- Morristown: 10 Lafayette Ave.
- Rockaway: 321 Mount Hope Ave.
