MORRISTOWN, NJ: Stirling Tavern is marking a decade on South Street the best way it knows how, with a free Halloween and 10th Anniversary Party on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The restaurant at 150 South Street opened in late 2016, and the anniversary falls right on Halloween night, so the tavern is rolling both celebrations into one big night. The theme says it all: 10 years of Stirling Tavern, 10 years of Morristown, one big night.

The party lineup includes a live DJ, a costume contest, a photo booth, a martini luge, drink specials and passed hors d’oeuvres. There are no tickets needed and no cover. The invitation from the Stirling team is simple: bring your friends, wear your best costume and help toast to ten years of memories in Morristown.

Over those ten years, Stirling Tavern has grown alongside the town, from weeknight dinners and weekend brunches to busy nights at the bar and summers up on the rooftop. It has hosted celebrations, community events and a long list of regulars who have made the tavern part of their own lives. The anniversary is also a chance to recognize the people behind that run, including longtime team members John Baldassarre, Tom and Dori, who have been part of Stirling’s story along the way.

The restaurant’s ties to the town go beyond the dining room. Its monthly Community Suppers and other local involvement are a big part of why the milestone feels less like a business birthday and more like ten years as part of Morristown.

Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, which makes downtown Morristown an easy pick for a costumed night out. Stirling Tavern sits on South Street a short walk from the Morristown Green, and street parking is available nearby on Elm Street, with more spaces in the downtown municipal lots and garages. Expect the night to fill up, so arriving early is the move if you want to catch the costume contest.

The Stirling Tavern Halloween and 10th Anniversary Party takes place Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Stirling Tavern, 150 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960. Admission is free. For details, visit the Halloween and 10th Anniversary Party event page, see what else is coming up on the Stirling Tavern events calendar, or call the tavern at (973) 993-8066.
