Community Hope, the Parsippany based nonprofit that stands as New Jersey’s largest provider of housing and support services for homeless veterans and veteran families, will host its 25th Annual Veterans Flag Day 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at the Lyons VA Healthcare Campus, 151 Knollcroft Road in Bernards Township. Check-in opens at 6:00 p.m. and the race starts at 7:00 p.m. The rain date is Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The family friendly event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities on a USATF sanctioned course, with awards presented for top overall finishers and age group winners. Every participant receives a swag bag that includes a free t-shirt, and a virtual option is available for anyone who cannot make it in person. Early bird registration is open now.
All proceeds benefit Community Hope’s Hope for Veterans Program, which provides housing assistance, recovery support, and critical services to veterans and families who are currently unhoused or at risk of homelessness. Participants can also memorialize or honor a veteran with a tribute, make a donation, or become a sponsor of the milestone 25th anniversary event.
