Send me the listMount Olive is closing out the summer with a night of boots and banjos. Country in the Park returns to the event field at Turkey Brook Park on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m., and admission is free.
The township recreation department turns the park into an open-air country party with a live band, line dancing lessons, food, and activities for all ages.
Live Music and Line Dancing
The Tennessee Honey Band plays live country all evening. If you have never two-stepped before, that is no problem, because Boots & Bling will lead line dancing lessons for beginners and seasoned dancers alike. For anyone ready to test their nerve, there is a mechanical bull, plus inflatable rides for the kids (a fee applies for the inflatables).
Food, Drinks, and Vendors
Come hungry. Food vendors include The BBQ Pit, Empanada Guy, and NFS serving funnel cakes and sweet treats, along with Sip & Pour pouring specialty lattes, dirty sodas, and flavored waters. Jersey Girl Brewing will be on site with beverages for guests 21 and over, so bring your ID. A row of local vendors rounds out the field.
Know Before You Go
The event runs on the Turkey Brook Park event field at 30 Flanders Road in Mount Olive. Bring chairs and blankets and stake out a spot on the grass. Suggested parking is by the lacrosse fields, with handicap parking at the tot lot. Well-behaved leashed pets are welcome, so the dog can tag along too.
