Send me the listRockaway Townsquare has quietly become Morris County’s big top stop. Every year or so a circus tent goes up in the mall parking lot at 301 Mount Hope Avenue, and families from across the county end up there for a night out. This page tracks what is coming next, what tickets cost, and what to expect when you pull in.
Next Up: Cirque Italia Water Circus, September 18 to 21, 2026
Cirque Italia brings its Water Circus Atlantis to Rockaway Townsquare for a four day run from Friday, September 18 through Monday, September 21, 2026. The show performs under a white and blue big top pitched in the mall parking lot.
This is the Gold Unit production, which is built around a water stage. Acrobatics, hand balancing, and contortion acts are choreographed around the water display, which is what separates it from the more traditional circuses that have played Rockaway in past years.

Cirque Italia also distributes a local promo code that admits one child free with a paid adult ticket. The code has to be entered at checkout, so it will not be applied after you buy. Groups of 25 or more can call the same number to ask about group pricing.
Parking and Getting In
The tent sits in the Rockaway Townsquare lot at 301 Mount Hope Avenue, Rockaway, NJ 07866. Mall parking is free and there is a lot of it, but the spaces nearest the tent go first before the evening shows, so build in a few extra minutes.
Will call is the ticket trailer at the front of the tent and staff will ask for ID. If you are buying at the door, they take cash, credit, and debit, and card purchases need ID as well. Strollers and car seats are not allowed inside the tent, so plan to leave them in the car.
Circuses That Have Played Rockaway Townsquare
The Garden Bros Nuclear Circus ran a four day stand at the mall April 2 to 5, 2026. That production used a five ring layout with more than 60 performers, human cannonballs, and the Globe of Death motorcycle act. Before that, the Royal Hanneford Circus played Rockaway Townsquare in August 2024.
Both were big top setups in the same parking lot, which is a big part of why the mall keeps showing up on national circus tour routes. The lot is large enough for a full tent, the trailers, and the crowd, and it sits right off Route 80.
More to Do at Rockaway Townsquare
The circus is not the only event the mall hosts. FoodeesFest brings more than 40 food vendors to Rockaway Townsquare October 23 to 25, and admission is free. If you are planning a full season of outings, our guide to fall festivals and fairs in Morris County lays out what is running month by month.
We update this page every time a new circus books Rockaway Townsquare, so bookmark it and check back before the next one rolls in. You can also follow along with everything happening around the county on our Morris County events page.
