Morris County has officially caught World Cup fever. With Brazil’s national team training right here in Morris Township for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, locals are suddenly searching for picanha, pao de queijo, and a proper caipirinha. The good news? You do not have to go far.
Here is where to eat like you are in Brazil, starting right here in Morris County.
Churrascaria Paladar (Mount Olive)
Yes, Morris County has its own churrascaria. Paladar sits on a riverfront stretch of Route 46 in Mount Olive at the county’s western edge (the mailing address says Hackettstown, but the property is in Morris County). Servers circle the dining room with skewers of slow-roasted meats carved tableside, backed by a generous buffet. There is a happy hour from 3 to 6 PM, and live music fills the room on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 PM.
Our tip: it is closed Monday and Tuesday, so plan a Wednesday through Sunday visit. Hours run Wednesday to Friday 4 to 10 PM, Saturday 3 to 10 PM, and Sunday 1 to 8 PM.
Address: 2 US Highway 46, Hackettstown, NJ 07840

Acai in Morristown and Denville
Acai is Brazil’s favorite beach snack, and you can get the real deep-purple deal without leaving the county. Playa Bowls serves acai bowls, smoothies, and juices at 14 North Park Place in Morristown and 4 Broadway in Denville, perfect fuel before a watch party.
Samba Montclair
About 25 minutes east of Morristown, Samba serves homestyle Brazilian cooking in a cozy, rustic space filled with antique pots and vintage tableware. This is the comfort-food side of Brazilian cuisine: feijoada, moqueca, and daily specials that taste like a Brazilian grandmother’s kitchen. Reservations are required, so call ahead.

Fogo de Chao (Wayne)
For the full white-tablecloth churrasco experience, Fogo de Chao at Willowbrook is an easy hop up Route 23 from Montville, Lincoln Park, and the rest of northern Morris County. Gaucho chefs carve fire-roasted cuts tableside, and the Market Table salad bar alone is worth the visit.

Worth the Trip: Newark’s Ironbound
When you want the real deal, the Ironbound district in Newark is North Jersey’s Brazilian and Portuguese heartland, about 40 minutes from Morristown. Casa Nova Grill at 264 Ferry Street is a local favorite for traditional rodizio, and the surrounding blocks are packed with Brazilian bakeries, markets, and grills. Make a day of it.
