Quick answer: Columbia Inn in Montville tops every Dave Portnoy pizza review in Morris County with an 8.7, followed by Bucky’s Pizza in Chatham (8.5), Coniglio’s in Morristown (8.3) and Third Proof Pizzeria in Montville (8.2). Here are all 16 open pizzerias he has scored, ranked.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has been eating his way through Morris County for years, one bite at a time. His June 2020 swing hit Florham Park, Morristown, Boonton and Rockaway in about a week, with Montville following that July. He came back in 2022 and 2024, and this June he dropped three new scores in Chatham, Montville and Parsippany.

We pulled every Morris County score from the official One Bite reviews page and checked that each pizzeria is still serving today. Here they are, ranked from highest to lowest, with the community score from One Bite users next to Dave’s for a second opinion.

1. Columbia Inn, Montville: 8.7

The top score in Morris County belongs to this Montville family restaurant and its paper thin, crispy bar pie. Portnoy’s 8.7 turned it into a destination for pizza fans across the Northeast, and with 238 community reviews it is the most rated Morris County pizzeria in the app.

Portnoy: 8.7 (July 2020) | Fans: 8.3
Address: 29 Main Road, Montville

2. Bucky’s Pizza, Chatham: 8.5

One of the best comeback stories in local food. Owner Dom started making pies during the pandemic and selling them out of parking lots, then moved into a real storefront on Main Street in Chatham. Portnoy stopped in this June and handed it an 8.5, the second highest score on this list, praising the crunch and the zero flop slice.

Portnoy: 8.5 (June 2026) | Fans: 7.9
Address: 465 Main Street, Chatham

3. Coniglio’s Old Fashioned, Morristown: 8.3

Morristown’s old school favorite earned an 8.3, and the community score sits right next to it at 8.2, which tells you the regulars agree. Coniglio’s has been on a roll lately, landing on DoorDash’s 2026 Top Pizza Spots list as the only New Jersey pick.

Portnoy: 8.3 (May 2024) | Fans: 8.2
Address: 11 South Street, Morristown

4. Third Proof Pizzeria, Montville: 8.2

Montville gets a second spot on the list thanks to this newer Changebridge Road pizzeria, which Portnoy scored an 8.2 in June. App users like it even more: its community average is an 8.7, one of the highest in the county.

Portnoy: 8.2 (June 2026) | Fans: 8.7
Address: 263 Changebridge Road, Montville (Pine Brook)

5. Famiglia Pizzeria, Parsippany: 7.9

Portnoy’s surprise stop at this Route 46 newcomer was big news this summer (here is how that visit went). He landed on a 7.9, while One Bite users have it at a 9.0 so far.

Portnoy: 7.9 (June 2026) | Fans: 9.0
Address: 1125 Route 46, Parsippany

6. Tabor Pizzeria, Morris Plains: 7.9

A true neighborhood slice shop on Tabor Road that ties Famiglia at 7.9. It is the kind of place locals have ordered from for years, and the Portnoy bump brought in a new wave of first timers.

Portnoy: 7.9 (June 2022) | Fans: 7.5
Address: 976 Tabor Road, Morris Plains

7. Nonna’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant, Florham Park: 7.7

Part of Portnoy’s June 2020 swing through Morris County, Nonna’s scored a 7.7 on Columbia Turnpike. With more than 90 community reviews on the app, it is one of the most reviewed spots on this list.

Portnoy: 7.7 (June 2020) | Fans: 7.9
Address: 176 Columbia Turnpike, Florham Park

8. Firehouse Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, Madison: 7.6

Right off downtown Madison, Firehouse earned a 7.6 from Portnoy and the exact same 7.6 from app users. A dependable pick for a family pizza night before or after a stroll on Main Street.

Portnoy: 7.6 (August 2022) | Fans: 7.6
Address: 15 Central Avenue, Madison

9. Suvio’s, Morristown: 7.6

Just off the Green on Washington Street, Suvio’s scored a 7.6. Portnoy called it a well rounded, very good neighborhood pie, which is exactly what you want on a Friday night in Morristown.

Portnoy: 7.6 (August 2022) | Fans: 7.4
Address: 83 Washington Street, Morristown

10. Reservoir Tavern, Boonton: 7.6

A North Jersey favorite for its thin crust pies, the Res earned a 7.6 from Portnoy, while fans push it up to an 8.0.

Portnoy: 7.6 (June 2020) | Fans: 8.0
Address: 92 Parsippany Boulevard, Boonton

11. Casa D’Pizza, Denville: 7.5

Denville’s entry scored a 7.5 from Portnoy, but the community average of 8.2 is one of the biggest gaps on this list in the pizzeria’s favor. Locals clearly know something.

Portnoy: 7.5 (August 2022) | Fans: 8.2
Address: 276 East Main Street, Denville

12. Pomodoro Ristorante and Pizzeria, Morristown: 7.5

A Morris Street staple near the train station that pulled a 7.5. Handy for a quick slice before the train or a casual sit down dinner.

Portnoy: 7.5 (August 2022) | Fans: 7.2
Address: 125 Morris Street, Morristown

13. Krust Kitchen, Madison: 7.3

Madison’s second stop on the tour earned a 7.3 during Portnoy’s May 2024 Morris County run, the same week he visited Coniglio’s. App users rate it higher at 8.1.

Portnoy: 7.3 (May 2024) | Fans: 8.1
Address: 7 Cross Street, Madison

14. M&S II Pizza, Rockaway: 6.9

A Route 46 favorite in Rockaway that scored a 6.9 in 2020. Regulars bump it to a 7.7, and it remains one of the most reviewed pizzerias in the area on Google.

Portnoy: 6.9 (June 2020) | Fans: 7.7
Address: 424 Route 46, Rockaway

15. Millie’s Old World Meatballs and Pizza, Morristown: 6.7

Millie’s got a 6.7 from Portnoy, but this South Street spot is about more than one plain slice. The meatballs are in the name for a reason, and the community score of 7.8 shows how much Morristown loves it.

Portnoy: 6.7 (June 2020) | Fans: 7.8
Address: 60 South Street, Morristown

16. Pasquale’s Restaurant and Pizzeria, Boonton: 6.5

Rounding out the list is a Main Street Boonton classic. Portnoy’s 6.5 is the lowest score here, yet app users have it at 8.1, the biggest gap on the entire list. Proof that one bite is not the whole story.

Portnoy: 6.5 (June 2020) | Fans: 8.1
Address: 307 Main Street, Boonton
