Morris County is one of the best places in New Jersey to eat Indian food, and Parsippany is the heart of it. Route 46 alone is lined with vegetarian institutions, South Indian dosa houses, and tandoor kitchens, and the scene stretches to Morristown, Morris Plains, and Cedar Knolls. Here are the Indian restaurants our team keeps coming back to, all verified open in 2026.

Chand Palace, Parsippany

At 269 Littleton Road, Chand Palace is one of New Jersey’s best-known upscale vegetarian Indian restaurants, famous for its buffet and a deep menu of North and South Indian dishes. A safe first stop if you are new to Indian food or feeding a crowd.

Adyar Ananda Bhavan (A2B), Parsippany

Adyar Ananda Bhavan, at 3159 Route 46, is the local outpost of the global South Indian vegetarian chain. Come for crispy dosas, idli, chaat, and a counter full of Indian sweets to take home. Closed Mondays.

Mumbai Tadka, Parsippany

At 1157 Route 46, Mumbai Tadka leans into Mumbai street food and chaat, with a lunch buffet and a banquet hall for parties. Order the pav bhaji and pani puri.

Tandoori Flames, Parsippany

Tandoori Flames, at 1557 Route 46, is a go-to for North Indian tandoor cooking, biryani, and butter chicken, plus a well-priced lunch buffet.

Sankalp The Taste of India, Cedar Knolls

Part of the worldwide Sankalp franchise, Sankalp at 99 Ridgedale Avenue in Cedar Knolls is known for Gujarati and South Indian cooking, and dosas that can run the length of the table.

Chakra Indian Cuisine, Morristown

Near the Morristown Green, Chakra serves a more modern take on Indian cooking with cocktails and a sit-down dinner feel, good for date night.

Cinnamon Indian Restaurant, Morris Plains

On the Morris Plains side, Cinnamon turns out North Indian classics, from tikka masala to fresh naan, with a popular lunch buffet.
