Netcong’s Feast of the Assumption returns to Arbolino Park on Saturday, August 15, 2026, with the borough’s traditional daytime procession, a night festival, food and drink, and a fireworks show. Gates open at 6 p.m., and admission is free.
The celebration is run by the Netcong Feast of Assumption Society, a nonprofit founded in 1922 that has kept the feast going for more than a century.
A Netcong tradition since 1922
The Assumption Society was founded in 1922 and has hosted the feast, a daytime religious procession, a night festival with fireworks, and its fundraisers ever since. The event honors the Assumption of Mary and remains one of two Italian Catholic feasts Netcong looks forward to every summer, alongside the Feast of Saint Cesario.
What to expect on August 15
Gates open at 6 p.m. at Arbolino Park (also listed as Arbolino Fitness Park) in Netcong, 07857. Expect the food, music, and community feel of an old-school Italian street feast, capped by a fireworks display after dark. Bring cash for food and for the Society’s 50/50 raffles, which help fund its charitable work through the year.
Getting there
Arbolino Park sits in the heart of Netcong, a small borough at the northwestern edge of Morris County near Lake Hopatcong and the crossroads of Routes 46, 80, and 206. Street parking and nearby lots serve the downtown.
