MORRISTOWN, NJ: The Dublin Pub is bringing a taste of Ireland’s west coast to Morristown with the return of its Second Annual Galway Oyster Fest on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1 to 7 p.m.

Inspired by the legendary oyster celebrations of Galway, Ireland, the Dublin Pub’s Galway Oyster Fest brings together fresh oysters, seafood, live entertainment and the unmistakable atmosphere of an Irish pub for an afternoon dedicated to one of Ireland’s great culinary traditions.

Galway’s connection to oysters runs deep. The Galway International Oyster and Seafood Festival was first held in 1954 and has grown into the world’s longest running oyster festival, traditionally marking the start of Ireland’s native oyster season. Today the annual celebration draws visitors from around the world for oysters, seafood, music, street festivities and its famous oyster opening championships.

The Dublin Pub is bringing some of that Galway spirit stateside for its own celebration in the heart of Morristown.

This year’s festival will feature four different varieties of oysters, giving guests the chance to taste and compare oysters with different flavor profiles and characteristics. Along with freshly shucked oysters, the Dublin Pub will be serving grilled oysters and seafood specials throughout the day.

The celebration goes well beyond the food. An outdoor beer truck, a tent and a DJ will keep the party going from 1 to 7 p.m., with oyster shuckers serving guests throughout the festival. Once the outdoor festivities wind down, the celebration moves inside with live music starting at 8 p.m.

For the Dublin Pub, a Morristown version of the festival is a natural fit. A local institution since 1973, the pub has long celebrated Irish food, drink, music and hospitality. Galway Oyster Fest builds on that tradition while creating a distinctly Morristown event: casual, lively and centered on gathering with friends over great food and a pint.

The Second Annual Galway Oyster Fest takes place Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Dublin Pub, 4 Pine Street in Morristown. A rain date is set for Sunday, September 27. Live music continues inside beginning at 8 p.m.

Save the date and get the latest details on the Galway Oyster Fest event page, where you can add it to your calendar, or see everything else on the calendar at the Dublin Pub website.

Come for the oysters. Stay for the music, the pints and a little taste of Galway in Morristown.
