BAPS Charities will host its annual Spirit of Service Walk-Run on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 3 Entin Road in Parsippany, with an estimated 1,000 plus community members expected to walk, run, and fundraise in support of Morristown Medical Center.
This year’s proceeds will benefit two of the most impactful programs in Morris County healthcare. The Carol G. Simon Cancer Center, ranked among the top 40 cancer programs in the country and the top two in New Jersey, treats patients from across the region with cutting-edge therapies and clinical trials. The Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute is the largest cardiac surgery program in New Jersey and has been recognized among the nation’s top 50 hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News and World Report. Both are part of Atlantic Health System.
The walk is part of a nationwide BAPS Charities initiative that spans more than 100 cities across North America. Last year, over 45,000 walkers came together to support more than 90 beneficiary organizations. Over the past two decades, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,200 walks, raising funds and awareness for causes including health, environmental sustainability, humanitarian relief, and community empowerment.
Local businesses can also get involved through the event’s sponsorship program, with tiers ranging from Silver Sponsor to Grand Sponsor. Benefits include logo placement on event signage and promotional materials, on-stage recognition in front of hundreds of attendees, and complimentary event shirts. Businesses interested in sponsoring can email or.par.admin@usa.baps.org or visit the registration page directly.
Walkers, runners, fundraisers, and donors can all sign up at walk2026.na.bapscharities.org. Whether you walk one mile or fundraise for a cause that has touched your family, this event is a meaningful way for Morris County to show up for its own.
