Fourth of July weekend has arrived, and Morris County is loaded with fireworks, festivals, and small town celebrations on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5, 2026. Here is where to spend the holiday close to home.

Parsippany-Troy Hills hosts its annual 4th of July Concert and Fireworks on Saturday, July 4 at Parsippany Hills High School. Gates open at 5 PM for food vendors and a live concert before the township’s marquee fireworks show, which has drawn more than 7,500 residents in past years. The rain date is Sunday, July 5.

Florham Park celebrates right on Independence Day at Emmett Field. DJ JAK gets the night going at 7 PM, the band What’s What takes the stage at 7:45 PM, and the fireworks begin at 9 PM. The rain date is Sunday, July 5.

East Hanover brings its fireworks to Lurker Park at 631 Ridgedale Avenue on Saturday, July 4. A DJ kicks things off at 7 PM and the fireworks go up at dusk, with food and drinks available on site.

In Denville, the fireworks are part of Denville Days, a three-day Semiquincentennial festival marking America’s 250th birthday at Gardner Field, 2 Savage Road. The festival runs Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5, with Saturday hours from 12 PM to 10 PM. Expect live music, a kids activity area, food vendors, a beer garden, an arts and crafts market, tethered hot air balloon rides (weather permitting), and the town’s traditional fireworks display. The celebration winds down Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.

For a daytime dose of history, Morristown National Historical Park holds its public reading of the Declaration of Independence on Saturday, July 4 at Washington’s Headquarters, 30 Washington Place in Morristown. A family friendly warm-up starts at noon and the reading begins at 1 PM, complete with a feu de joie musket salute and a self-guided open house of the Ford Mansion afterward. Admission is free.

Looking for something on Sunday morning? Both the Morristown Farmers Market and the Denville Farmers Market run from 8:30 AM to 1 PM on Sunday, July 5, stocked with fresh produce, baked goods, and local vendors. The Morristown market sets up in Parking Lot 10J at Spring and Morris Streets, and the Denville market runs downtown on Bloomfield Avenue.

However you spend it, there is no shortage of ways to celebrate the Fourth across Morris County, and there is plenty more happening all season long.
